Stephen Lawrence Hughbanks, 63, of Marstons Mills died September 7 at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis. He leaves family in Falmouth.

He was the husband of Noralyn G. Hughbanks for 20 years. He was born in Anchorage, Alaska, the son of Kenneth L. Hughbanks and Elizabeth Joan Hughbanks.

He acquired his automotive mechanic certification at Upper Cape Cod Regional Vocational Technical School in Bourne, Class of 1976.

Mr. Hughbanks worked as a mechanic with Bobcat of Cape Cod for more than two decades until he decided to run his own business for Bobcat repairs and services.

He loved to ride his Harley-Davidson and he once was the president of Cape Cod Harley-Davidson Motorbike Association. He was a big fan of the Patriots and loved fishing. With his wife, he traveled to many places around the world.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his siblings, Karen A. Lewis of Hampstead, New Hampshire, Mary Ellen Sylvia of East Falmouth, Mark E. Hughbanks of York Springs, Pennsylvania, Michael K. Hughbanks of California, and Paul G. Hughbanks of North Carolina; his nieces and nephews; and other extended family.

A funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, September 22, at Corpus Christi Church in East Sandwich, followed by a private burial.
