Steven K. Vokey, 54, died February 3 at his home in Falmouth.

Born in Dorchester, he was the son of Elizabeth (Dowling) and the late John R. Vokey Sr.

He moved to Falmouth in 1973 and graduated from Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical School in Bourne in 1984. He also enrolled in night classes at the Harvard Extension School to continue his education after he began his working career.

Mr. Vokey was an accomplished carpenter. He also had been a cook at the Dome restaurant.

He leaves his siblings, John R. Vokey Jr. of Falmouth, Kristin Vokey Muratore of Plymouth and Scott Vokey of Mansfield; 10 nieces and a nephew; and extended family.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 13, from 8 to 9:30 AM at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 475 Main Street in Falmouth.

Afterward, a memorial Mass will said at 10 AM at St. Patrick’s Church, 511 Main Street, followed by burial at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Gifford Street in Falmouth.
