Theophilus Moniz Jr., 95, of East Falmouth died Christmas morning. He was known as Red Moniz.

The husband of Judith A. (Araujo) Moniz, they had been married for more than 55 years at the time of her death in 2003.

He was the son of Theophilus Moniz and Mary (Silva) Moniz, and spent his entire life in Falmouth except for his time serving in the US Navy in the Pacific during World War II.

Mr. Moniz worked for Fay’s of Falmouth for 46 years.

He leaves four children, Theophilus Moniz III, Paul B. Moniz, Judith M. Hinkley and Michael E. Moniz; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son Richard W. Moniz in 2018.

A burial service will be at a later date at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
