Virginia H. (Raymond) Pimental of Falmouth died Tuesday, October 6. She was 89.

Ms. Pimental was born in Stoughton and graduated from Stoughton High School. After graduation she worked at Brockton Hospital before moving to Falmouth, where she met and married the late Robert Pimental.

She worked in a number of jobs in Falmouth, including the town tax collector’s office, Sears, Briarwood and ProCuts, from which she retired at the age of 80.

Also known as Cookie, she was a member of the Council of Catholic Women and the TOP’s club. She enjoyed traveling with friends and her trips to Florida with her late husband.

She leaves her daughter, Susan L. Matteson and her husband, Mark; her son, Robert Jr. and his wife, Carmel; her granddaughter, Emma S. Weinell, and her husband, Kyle; and her sister, Dorothy Raymond.

Ms. Pimental was the sister of the late Mary Hannon and the late Joseph Raymond.

Graveside services will be held at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in East Falmouth on Friday, October 16, at 11:30 AM.
