William E. Price, 98, of East Falmouth died at JML Care Center on August 23.

He was the husband of Iline F. (Doherty) Price, to whom he was married for 66 years at the time of her death in 2007.

Formerly of Boston, Mr. Price worked as a metal spinner and engraver for many years until his retirement.

He had a life-long love of animals and enjoyed birdwatching and feeding chipmunks—he even had chipmunks eating right out of his pocket.

Mr. Price also was an avid fisherman.

He leaves three children, Theodore Price and his wife, Barbara Price, of New Hampshire, Maryann Law and her husband, George Law, of Pennsylvania and Barbara L. Winters and her husband, William J. Winters, of East Falmouth; a sister, Ann Garafano of Mashpee; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and extended family.

He was predeceased by his daughter Jeanne Olsson; and his two brothers, Robert Price and Donald Price.

Visitation will be Friday, August 28, from 4 to 7 PM at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Avenue in Mashpee.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 29, at 10 AM at St. Anthony’s Church, 167 East Falmouth Highway.

Burial will follow at Blue Hills Cemetery in Braintree.
