I was walking back from the fireworks on Falmouth Heights Road. Hundreds of people, families with small children, cyclists, et cetera, were crowding the sidewalks and road. Cars were trying to pass and were beeping aggressively as they tried to go faster.

The combination of pedestrians and heavy vehicle traffic was a very dangerous situation.

Perhaps it would be possible to hold the vehicle traffic on that road for a half hour or so to allow the pedestrians to clear out.
