I am writing in response to the article written by Martha W. Ross in The Falmouth Enterprise on November 18 titled “Falmouth Men’s Group Forced To Include Women.” Unfortunately, Ms. Ross only got one side of this story. She did not write about the other side of this. If Ms. Ross had garnered more information and listened to what Jill Irving Bishop was saying, the article would not be one-sided.

I had a conversation at one time a few weeks ago with one of the gentlemen voicing his displeasure with Ms. Bishop. What they are all unhappy and complaining about is that they can’t be served coffee at their meetings. These men want the staff of the Senior Center to serve them coffee. This is not possible due to the staff helping the other 5,500 members that walk through the center’s doors. The volunteers are busy in the café preparing meals to serve the members and make that very coffee that the men refuse to serve themselves.
