It is increasingly worrying that the Democrats are not seizing the moment in this election cycle. The front runners continue to overreach, promoting policies that centrists will not support, driving them toward the President.

The idea that huge ideas are necessary to win the White House should have been shattered by the recent results in the UK where Jeremy Corbyn and his great big ideas for reforming the economy were thrashed by an exceedingly unpopular and coarse conservative. The parallels could not be closer. I hope the party will wake up and make better decisions. There is too much at stake to be self-righteous.
