I am getting more confused by the day. As this COVID-19 emergency continues and restrictions are starting to be lifted, why aren’t our local politicians and leaders working with the business owners, especially restaurant owners, to find a way to open? They should not be looking under every rock to find reasons to stop them from trying. They could easily open on a restricted basis for the time being.

Have you been to a Home Depot or Walmart lately? I’ve seen articles suggesting shutting down Main Street and allowing restaurants to use the sidewalk to start and adjust as necessary. I’m sure there are many other options that can be considered. It’s about time our leaders step up and find a way. Stepping up is much harder than just saying no.
