Falmouth High School's Katie Shanahan

FHS forward Katie Shanahan does not draw most of the attention on the Falmouth High School girls’ ice hockey team, but the Clippers’ forward has been playing excellent hockey of late and is a big reason that the Clippers are making a late season push back up the standings. Shanahan scored two goals, including the game-winner, against Sandwich on February 12. Coach Brian Ferreira said that the freshman has been one of the team’s most complete players all year long. “Katie does everything she’s asked to do. She plays forward, she plays D, kills penalties, power play, wing or center,” Ferreira said. “She’s a great teammate and a great athlete.”
