Falmouth High's Sam Griesbauer

When Sam Griesbauer has it going, opposing batters are in a lot of trouble. That was the case for the Falmouth High School sophomore last Friday, May 17, as the second-year varsity pitcher twirled the first no-hitter of his high school career in an 11-0 Falmouth win over New Bedford on the road. Griesbauer struck out seven Whalers over five innings and had command all game long in a game that was shortened due to inclement weather. “It was great to see Sam be as dominant as he was against New Bedford,” coach Josh Oliver said. “He pitched extremely well in some tough rainy and muddy conditions. It was his best outing of the year, and he really had great command and threw strikes consistently.”
