Bahá’ís of Mashpee are preparing to mark the 200th anniversary of the birth of the Báb, Herald of the Bahá’í Faith, on October 29.

One of the activities planned locally to celebrate this significant anniversary will be on Friday, October 25 when the Mashpee Baha’is will be showing the film 'The Gate: Dawn of the Baha’i Faith' at the Mashpee TV Studio.

This documentary tells the story of the origins of the Bahá’í Faith. Combining dramatic reenactments with interviews of renowned historians, religious scholars and other experts, the film celebrates the extraordinary life of the Báb.

Filmed in Spain, Israel, the UK, and the US, "The Gate" will be shown at 6:30 PM in the Mashpee TV Studio, 168 Industrial Drive, Mashpee. Following the film there will be refreshments and the opportunity for discussion and questions.
