Mashpee’s Historic 1831 One Room Schoolhouse will open for the 2015 season on Monday, May 25, immediately after the Memorial Day service, which starts at 10 AM in the veterans’ garden opposite the town hall on Great Neck Road North.

The public is invited to take a walk through to see how the school might have looked in 1850. All of the furniture in the schoolhouse has been made by Mashpee High School students. Individual or group tours with the “Schoolmaster,” Frank Lord, are available by e-mailing fjlord@msn.com.

The season runs from May 25 until October 9, every Thursday from 10 AM to 2 PM or other days and times by appointment. Tours are free, but donations are accepted.
