Mashpee Rollover

A Mashpee police cruiser blocks the road at Artisan Way on January 15 following a rollover crash that left the driver in serious condition.

A stretch of Route 130 was closed down last Friday, January 14, due to a single-car rollover crash in Mashpee.

The crash occurred at approximately 6:57 AM, near the Sandwich town line.

Responding officers observed a heavily damaged gray Audi in the northbound lane after it had rolled over and landed back in an upright position. The vehicle was traveling south on Route 130 when the driver lost control causing the rollover.

Upon arrival, Mashpee paramedics pulled the 25-year-old female driver from Harwich from the wreck. Due to the weather conditions, MedFlight was unavailable to fly and the driver was taken by ambulance to the South Shore Hospital trauma center in Weymouth in serious condition.

As a result of the crash and subsequent investigation, Route 130 was closed for approximately two and a half hours.

The crash is under investigation by the Mashpee Police Department, Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office and Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council Crash Reconstruction Unit.
