Mashpee Christmas Parade

The 2019 Mashpee Christmas Parade winds its way through Mashpee Commons.

The Mashpee Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade will make a return this year after being canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This year’s parade, themed “A Time To Celebrate,” is scheduled for December 11 at 5:30 PM at the Mashpee Commons, with a rain/snow date of December 12.

“We could all do with a little bit more celebration compared to last year,” Katy Acheson, the executive director of the Mashpee Chamber of Commerce, said. “All of Mashpee has been through a heck of a lot—as has the rest of the world—so we’re really excited to bring some literal light to Mashpee.”

The 15th-annual holiday parade will feature illuminated floats, festive music, hot chocolate and much more, Ms. Acheson said. The holiday lights at the Mashpee Rotary will also be illuminated as part of the winter festivities, she said.

Further details, including the route of the parade, are in the works and town approvals are still required for the event to move forward.
