Mashpee Community Picnic & Fireworks - July 1, 2018

The annual community picnic and fireworks at Mashpee High School

The Mashpee Community Picnic and Fireworks is scheduled for Monday, July 1, at its usual Mashpee Middle-High School location.

Just in case, a rain date is planned for the next day, July 2.

Selectmen on Monday, April 8, approved the special event.

Recreation Director Mary K. Bradbury said that her department and the special events committee are finalizing the entertainment. Perennial favorites are still on, however, including a canine presentation, music, food vendors, laser tag, face-painting, pony rides, and field games and activities.

The fun starts at 5 PM, with fireworks planned for about 8:45 PM.

To cut down on traffic and parking at the high school, shuttles will provide rides at no charge back and forth from Old Barnstable Road.
