The names and photographs of all the Mashpee Middle High School graduates are displayed as a slideshow on the high school’s electronic sign along Route 151.
“The plan to celebrate the members of the Class of 2020 on our Route 151 sign has been in the works for about six weeks,” Superintendent Patricia M. DeBoer said.
The graduates are pictured in blue caps and gowns, which the superintendent’s office had access to from the school’s 2020 yearbook file.
Vehicles have been seen pulling over to the side of the road in anticipation of seeing particular students comes across the screen, Ms. DeBoer said.
“I have received positive feedback from our families in regards to the sign. I made a few sample test graduate slides for our sign. Then my executive administrative assistant, Gail Hannan, took over and did the bulk of the work creating each graduate’s slide for the sign. We plan to have the slides displayed throughout the month of July,” the superintendent said.
