Albert Jackson, a passionate public defender in Florida, died Thursday, October 7, at Laurentide at Mashpee Commons in Mashpee just shy of his 88th birthday after a long illness.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, on October 15, 1934, the son of Mildred Lee and Earnest Jackson, he was a graduate of Boys High School in Brooklyn before going on to John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York.
