Bryan Way

Bryan S. Way of Mashpee died at home on August 17 after a decade-long battle with cancer. He was 59.

He was the husband of 35 years of Doreen M. Way.

Born in Melbourne, Florida, to Eleanor and Warren Day, he soon fell in love with the ocean and this would shape the course of his life.

After serving in the US Coast Guard, Mr. Way joined Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and was able to travel across the world working on marine electronics.

Mr. Way’s wife was his advocate and caregiver during his struggles with cancer and failed back surgeries.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his children, Bryan Way Jr. and Brianna English; several siblings, Ray Way, Stuart Way, Cathy Taylor and Nicole Coleman-Jensen; and other family.

Burial will be at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Services will be private.
