Daniel Carl Booth Sr. of East Sandwich died March 31 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, after a long struggle with stomach cancer. Mr. Booth, 51, leaves family in Mashpee.
He was born in Providence, Rhode Island, and was raised in Foxboro, where he graduated from high school.
Mr. Booth had lived on Cape Cod for many years and loved his work as a master carpenter. Most recently he was working with McPhee Associates of Dennis.
In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, clamming, hiking, car racing, gardening, cooking and traveling with family and friends. His favorite activity was walking on the beach with Marley, his golden retriever.
He leaves his children, Abigail Booth and Daniel Booth Jr. of Mashpee; his father, Carl H. Booth and his wife, Anne Marie Booth, of Moultonborough, New Hampshire; his mother, Barbara (Luther) Foster and her husband, Donald Foster, of East Sandwich; three sisters, Dale Michaud of Milford, Dianne Booth of Abington and Holly Dupre of Fairhaven; two stepsisters, Joan Evans of Needham and Sharon Schoen of Darien, Connecticut; a stepbrother, Thomas Foster of Conifer, Colorado; and other family.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
