Eva C. Hatt, 95, of Mashpee died November 20.

She was the widow of Everett A. Hatt.

Born in Berwick, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of George and Lucile (Miller) Maglott.

She was a graduate of Wrentham High School, Class of 1942. After graduation she worked for the telephone company in Providence, Rhode Island.

She married Everett Hatt in 1947. They lived with his parents while they built a house for themselves in Plainville.

Ms. Hatt was a homemaker and cared for their children.

She enjoyed many years of bowling on the Council of Church’s league at North Bowl. She also enjoyed sewing, rug braiding, playing cards and tending to the flowers in her garden.

In 1989, she and her husband retired to their cottage on Cape Cod. During this time she discovered a passion for playing golf and could be found pulling her own clubs around the course beyond age 90. She also participated for many years in the Mixed Seniors Bowling and Mashpee Seniors leagues at Ryan Family Amusement Center (later, Leary Family Amusements) in Falmouth.

Ms. Hatt was also known for her home-cooked meals and open door policy at her Peters Pond beach house.

She leaves her children, Wayne Hatt and his wife, Marilyn Hatt, Dale Hatt and his wife, Elaine Hansen, Alan Hatt and his wife, Jan Hatt, Gregory Hatt and his wife, Judy Hatt, and Christine Dennis and her husband, Jeff Dennis; a sister, Joan Maglott Grover; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and other family.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by five siblings.

Visiting hours and a memorial service will be Saturday, December 7, from 10 AM to 1 PM at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Route 6A in Sandwich.
