Mr. Peters, who was known as Peter, spent most of his adulthood living in California before returning to Massachusetts. Although he held many different jobs throughout his life, working alongside his father in construction was the highlight of his working career.

He leaves six sisters, Susan Lopes of Falmouth, Robin Peters of Hyannis, Theresa Morris of California, Chantelle Beland of Carver, Monique Frye of California and Loretta Peters of Wareham; a brother, Wayne Peters of Colorado; three sons, Peter J. Peters, Adam M. Peters and Brandon F. Peters; two daughters, Raquel Villanueva and Mercede Landeros; 14 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his infant son, Dominique Peters, as well as his parents, George M. Peters Sr. and Kathleen Peters.

His ashes will join those of his mother in Mashpee Cemetery.

A celebration of his life will be held at a future date.
