He was the husband of Yvonne G. McGrath, who died in May 2019. They were married for 54 years.

Raised in West Orange, New Jersey, he graduated in 1958 from Oratory Preparatory School in Summit, where he was captain of the basketball team. He furthered his education at Fordham University.

He served in the Army’s 40th Armor Division that included a posting within the Korean Demilitarized Zone.

Mr. McGrath followed a career in strategic sourcing and materials management for a range of leading industrial companies including Worthington Pump, Hydril, Electric Boat, M.W. Kellogg/Halliburton, and Jacobs Engineering.

He and his wife settled at Deer Crossing for their retirement years. In Mashpee they became active at Parish of Christ the King; Mr. McGrath also enjoyed reading and playing golf.

He leaves four sons, Christopher McGrath, Dennis McGrath, Mathew McGrath and Jonathan McGrath; five grandchildren; his sister, Kitty Pilger; and extended family.

A memorial gathering to celebrate his life will be at a future date.
