Joshua J. Zamira, 47, of Mashpee died March 3 at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center in Burlington after having a brain aneurysm several weeks earlier.

He was the husband of Sherri L. Zamira.

Mr. Zamira was the founder of Josh’s at Davisville, a restaurant in East Falmouth that opened for business July 28 last year.

A chef, it had been Mr. Zamira’s dream to run his own restaurant.

Prior to opening his own eating establishment, he had spent more than a decade as the executive chef at the Popponesset Inn.

In addition to his wife, he leaves a daughter, Nicola Zamira.

A funeral service took place March 10 at Cape Cod Church in East Falmouth.

Burial was private.
