Mario A. Valentino, 94, of Mashpee died January 23 at Falmouth Hospital.

He was the husband of Patricia A. (Mitchell) Valentino, who died in 2000.

Born in Medford, he was the son of Louis and Esther (Buono) Valentino.

Mr. Valentino was a World War II veteran serving with the United States Navy.

He owned and operated Val’s Cleaners in Medford for more than 40 years until his retirement.

Mr. Valentino and his wife moved from Medford to Mashpee in 1990; they had been seasonal residents here since 1984.

In his spare time, he enjoyed playing golf.

He leaves his children, Cheryl E. Clark of Townsend, Mark A. Valentino of Mashpee and Gina M. Albee of Osterville; a sister, Marie Thomann; three grandchildren, Heather Clark, Rachel Clark and Leah Clark; two great-grandchildren, Isabel Holcomb and Liam Holcomb; and extended family.

He was preceded in death by four siblings.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday, January 28, at Parish of Christ the King in Mashpee.

Burial with military honors followed at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
