Olivia Marie Johnson, 72, of Mashpee died August 3 at home.

Born in New Bedford, Ms. Johnson, who was known as Luckie, was the daughter of Armand and Minnie (Tabor) Alfama. After graduating from Fairhaven High School in 1964, she married Eric P. Johnson.

The Johnsons moved to Mashpee in 1974 where they raised their son, Brian K. Johnson.

An administrative assistant for Hyannis Housing Assistance for 28 years, Ms. Johnson retired in 2017, due to illness.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time on South Cape Beach with a good book.

In addition to her husband and son, she leaves two sisters, Harriet Costa of Dartmouth and Lorraine Cathcart of Fairhaven; many nieces and nephews; and other family.

Visitation is Wednesday, August 7, from 4 to 7 PM at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Avenue in Mashpee.

A funeral service will be Thursday, August 8, at 11 AM at the funeral home, followed bt interment at Great Neck Woods Cemetery in Mashpee.
