Raymond Howard Agnew of Mashpee died May 30 at Falmouth Hospital. He was 86.

He was the husband of Ruth (Harnden) Agnew. The couple wed in 1959 and would have celebrated their 63rd anniversary on June 6.

He was born in Leominster, the son of Ada and Howard Agnew.

Mr. Agnew co-owned and operated Agnew Brothers Texaco in Leominster from 1959 to 1976. His partner was his brother, Carl Agnew, who was known as Skip.

In 1982 he moved his family to Marstons Mills, and continued to work in the automotive industry.

Mr. Agnew was passionate about cars, most notably Ford vehicles and his Thunderbirds, and passed down his love of cars to his son and grandson.

He and his wife moved to Naples, Florida, in 1992, but returned to Cape Cod in 2014 to be near their family.

He was a fan of the Boston Red Sox and Green Bay Packers.

In addition to his wife, he leaves two children, Randall Charles Agnew and his wife, Donna Agnew, of Cotuit and Robin Agnew and her husband, Peter Boutin, of Santa Rosa, California; and two grandchildren, Victoria Rae Agnew of Mashpee and William Charles Agnew of Centerville.

Mr. Agnew was preceded in death by his brother and also by his foster brother, George Larkin.

Burial was to be private.
