Richard A. Wood, 64, of Mashpee died March 30.

He was the son of Thomas Morgan and Alice (Sheahan) Wood and was born in Worcester.

After graduating from Long Meadow High School, he served in the US Navy.

Prior to his retirement, Mr. Wood worked for CDM Smith in the position of project controls.

He was a former resident of Brockton.

Mr. Wood enjoyed flying model airplanes and was a member of the aircraft owners and pilots associations. He also enjoyed working with computers, and had built several of his own computers.

He leaves two sisters, Pamela Wood of Mashpee and Cheryl Maas of Grand Haven, Michigan; a brother, James Wood of Centerville; and several nieces, nephews, and grandnieces.

He was predeceased by his parents.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Corpus Christi Church in East Sandwich on Tuesday.

Burial was at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
