Ronald Dana Bowen, 86, of Mashpee died August 18 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth.

He was the husband of Alice (Jean) Bowen, to whom he was married for 45 years at the time of her death.

A veteran of the Korean War, he served in the US Army from 1952 to 1955, achieving the rank of corporal.

Upon returning to civilian life, Mr. Bowen joined the Teamsters Local 25 and worked for Sears and Roebuck for 35 years.

He lived in Medford for 53 years before moving to Mashpee in 2012.

He leaves his five children, Ronald J. Bowen and his wife, Jean M. Bowen, of Medford, Karen A. Landry and her husband, James R. Landry, of Mashpee, Steven J. Bowen and his wife, Nancy E. Bowen, of Littleton, Susan Williams of Worcester, and Nancy A. Hernon and her husband, Jeffrey M. Hernon, of Billerica; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Bowen; and extended family.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, John Bowen, Frederick Bowen, and James Bowen.

Burial was to be private at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
