Rosalie A. Patchin of Plainville, who leaves family in Mashpee, died May 16. She was 89.

She was born in Norwood, the daughter of Phillip and Mary (Conroy) Stone. She graduated from Walpole High School.

Ms. Patchin was a cook for the school lunch program at Anna Ware Jackson Elementary School in Plainville.

She and George Patchin were married on April 23, 1949, at Blessed Sacrament Parish in Walpole.

Ms. Patchin enjoyed watching birds with her husband; she also played bingo and cards.

She leaves four children, George Patchin Jr. of Texas, Donald Patchin of Mashpee, Kathleen Irwin of Ohio, and Rosalie Burgess of Attleboro; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and extended family.

She was predeceased by her son William Patchin; and five siblings. 

Visitation will be Thursday, May 23, from 4 to 8 PM at the Roberts & Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, May 24, at 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 58 Carpenter Street, Foxboro.

Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery in Walpole.
