Steven Robert Gitnik of Mashpee died at home on September 11, after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 73.

He was born in Queens, New York, to Milton and Lillyan Gitnik.

With his wife of 27 years, Fay Schraga-Gitnik, he enjoyed dancing, tandem biking and traveling.

Mr. Gitnik also enjoyed playing tennis at his Southport community.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his daughter, Lisa Engelhardt, and her family; his sister, Karen Miller; his mother; and his step-daughters.

A family funeral was followed by a Zoom shiva.
