Yvonne G. McGrath, 75, of Mashpee died May 25.

Originally from New Jersey, she was born in Newark and raised in Bloomfield, then lived in Essex County before moving out-of-state to live in Texas and Connecticut before settling in Mashpee.

Ms. McGrath attended Traphagen School of Fashion Design and worked for the Simplicity Pattern Company in New York City. She later worked for Pierre Deux in Houston and was the owner of her own pillow-making and drapery business, Behind the Seams.

She leaves her husband of 54 years, Giles A. McGrath; four sons, Christopher McGrath, Dennis McGrath, Mathew McGrath, and Jonathan McGrath; five grandchildren; and extended family.

She was predeceased by two siblings, Ronald Golden and Lois Reising.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, May 30, from 4 to 7 PM at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Avenue in Mashpee.

A funeral Mass will be said on Friday, May 31, at 11 AM at Parish of Christ the King in Mashpee, with a family reception and luncheon to follow at the parish hall.

Burial will be private.
