On Friday, April 10, the Mashpee Board of Selectmen voted to move the date of Mashpee’s annual town election to Tuesday, June 23. The election will be held from 7 AM to 8 PM at the Quashnet School gymnasium.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, I am recommending that you consider voting “early” by mail. I will be setting up the precincts with social distancing in mind, which means that it could take time to get into the building, check in, get a ballot, and deposit your ballot into the voting machine.

For your personal safety, I am recommending that you consider applying for a Municipal Early Ballot. You may drop the application into the town hall mail drop box, located just to the right of the town hall front door, fax it to 508-539-1142, or email it to ddami@mashpeema.gov. Once we receive the ballots, one will be mailed to all who submitted an application. Please be advised that we will need to have your ballot returned to the office no later than 8 PM on June 23 for it to be counted.

Early Ballot Application for the annual town election to be held on June 23 can be downloaded and printed from the Mashpee web page (home screen) at www.mashpeema.gov/.
