Thank you for the informative article on June 10 “Nonprofit Offers Holistic, Peer-Led Approach To Recovery” by Mackenzie Ryan. The article reminds us that Mashpee has much to celebrate but also reminds us on a daily basis that there remains much to do. Too many town residents are struggling with addictions. Politicians, business leaders in town, clergy and all Mashpee voters must work together to demand more funding for addiction treatment. Ironically, the date of this uplifting story June 10 is the widely regarded as the “official” founding date of AA—one person helping another.
