Kendall Rose turned his ankle in the final preseason game of the year against Nauset High and then had to sit and watch the season-opener against Nantucket, a game in which the Falcons beat up on the Whalers. With a bye week following the win, Rose was chomping at the bit to get a chance to play in a game. He made up for missed time by having his best game ever, running the ball for MHS. Rose went for 165 yards and three touchdowns against Coyle and Cassidy, leading the Falcons to a big 24-8 win against the Warriors. He scored twice in the second quarter and then put the game away with a long run in the fourth quarter.
