Cardinal Spellman shut down the Mashpee High School softball team, which has been in a funk for a few games now, and scored a 7-0 win over the Falcons on Wednesday, May 15. The Falcons fell to 5-8 overall as they dropped their seventh straight game.

Spellman pitching limited the Falcons to just three hits in the game. Corey Andrade, Jayden Bryant and Sam Rozum each went 1-for-3 in the game. Overall the team was just 3-for-23 in the game with one walk.

Norwell defeated MHS by an 8-3 score on Monday, May 13. That day the Falcons hit the ball a little better, but were unable to outscore the Clippers. NHS pitching combined for 10 strikeouts.

Andrade had a solid day at the plate in the leadoff spot, going 3-for-4 with a run scored. Maggie Connolly was 1-for-1 with a run scored and a walk. Maddie Souza had two hits.
