The Week In Photos - January 29, 2021

Volunteers load boxes of food into cars during the Food4Vets event at the former Sandwich Police Station on Route 6A Tuesday morning, an event that takes place weekly from 10 AM until noon. Military veterans and their families are able to register for the food packages at https://mmsfi.org/food4vets. Upon arrival, participants are given a box of non-perishable foods as well as a 32 pound box of fresh fruit, vegetables, dairy, and meat. This week, families also received loaves of bread, baked treats, and dog food, if they needed it.

This collection of five vernal pools at The Breivogel Conservation Area was created in 2016 in a partnership between The 300 Committee and the Falmouth Conservation Department along with Mass Audubon. The fence was constructed by 300 Committee volunteers, AmeriCorps, and Falmouth DPW and Conservation. The pools were dug to different depths to attract a wide variety of animal species.
