Members of the Sandwich High School National Honor Society take a plunge off the Sandwich Boardwalk Wednesday as the culmination of the group’s fundraiser for the Special Olympics. Vice president Jack Burgess said that they had worked with the SHS Knight Ice Fundraiser to raise money and encouraged friends and family to donate through online donations. Jack said that he does not know how much money was raised, but that the Polar Plunge was hosted as a way to encourage more people to participate in community service efforts and to get out of their houses.

The Falmouth 8th grade girls recently finished up a perfect season, winning the championship in Hanover. The team consisted of (from left) Christina Femino, Jordan DiPietro, Leanora Cardoza, Allyson Craft, Noelle Sylvia, Jasmyne Fernandez, Hailey Lynch, Brooke Morrison, Abbie Lang, and coach Andrew Craft.
