The Town of Bourne’s access ramp at Sagamore Road is damaged each year by winter northeasters. “In the late spring we bring in beach sand, which is permitted under an existing order of conditions and cover up the rocks. However, it does get worse each year,” Conservation Agent Samuel Haines said. “The town is looking into a long-term solution, but it will definitely be covered up with sand by the summer season. There are stairs located at this location for pedestrian access, and this ramp is intended for emergency access only.”
