The Joint Base Cape Cod Cleanup Team will hold an online public meeting on Wednesday, July 28, at 6 PM to discuss several important environmental topics, including water quality on the Cape.

More specifically, these water topics include the Massachusetts Department of Public Health surveillance of PFAS at recreational bodies of water on the Cape and an update of PFAS and 1,4-dioxane as emerging contaminants. There will also be an overview of the Impact Area Groundwater Study Program. Members of the US Environmental Protection Agency and Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection team will attend the meeting.

Other topics for the meeting include new members to the cleanup team, the Military Munitions Response Program update and the status of Air Force Civil Engineer Center’s Community Involvement Plan revision.
