About 500 attendees who tuned into a Cape Cod Bridges virtual meeting on Tuesday, November 15, were rewarded with a vision of the possible future of Cape Cod Canal travel: twin tied-arch bridges at the Bourne and Sagamore crossing locations.

Cape residents attended the virtual meeting, which was hosted by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, to receive updates and offer comments on the program. Members of the US Army Corps of Engineers were also on hand to help MassDOT present three potential bridge designs, to lay out a purpose and need statement, and to answer questions.
