The year 2020 was, in a word, tumultuous.

It started with a pandemic that brought such terms as “social distancing,” “remote learning,” “community spread” and “the new normal” to our everyday vocabularies and ended with a presidential election that almost literally rocked the foundation of the US Capitol building.

But between these two dismal bookends, there was still plenty of room left for some good news. This year's list of the most-read stories on capenews.net presents a good mix of the good, the bad, and the ugly that was the year 2020.
