Thanksgiving Day Race - Sandwich

A joyful group of runners leaves the start of a past year’s Thanksgiving Day race.

With the holidays right around the corner, so, too, is the Thanksgiving Sandwich 5K.

Brought to the community by the Sandwich High School athletic boosters club, the annual holiday race is to be held Thursday, November 28, at 8 AM beginning at the former Henry T. Wing School.

The race will benefit the Sandwich and Bourne food pantries. The fun run 5K has an emphasis on promoting a community event that benefits the local food pantries on a day we all give thanks.

This year only the top-100 finishers will have their times recorded. Registration is still open for the race, with fees of $20 per person. There are also the added options of joining a team or creating a team.

Runners and participants are urged to sign up at
