An East Sandwich man was arrested last Saturday, June 29, after allegedly fleeing from a property he was trespassing on.
Police were called to Woodridge Road at 8:24 PM when someone reported that a man was on their property when he was not welcome to be there. While police were on their way, they were advised that the man was fleeing the scene in a black Ford Mustang.
Police stopped the vehicle on Quaker Meetinghouse Road in front of Stop & Shop and identified the driver as Brian J. Cosgrove, 43, of East Sandwich.
Police said Mr. Cosgrove had glassy and bloodshot eyes and they could smell alcohol in the vehicle. He was given a series of field sobriety tests, which he failed.
He was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor for a third offense and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
