A woman cycling along Route 130 was uninjured when a car struck her from behind on Route 130 Sunday, June 30.

Police were called to the scene of the crash at 7:21 AM. When they arrived, the woman was standing next to her bike along the side of the road.

She stated that while she was riding along the road, she was struck from behind by a pickup truck.

The driver of the truck was identified as Jonathan Barton, 34, of Sandwich. He told police that he was turning onto Route 130 from the Exit 2 off-ramp and did not see the cyclist

The woman was evaluated by paramedics at the scene, but did not need to be taken to the hospital. Mr. Barton was cited for failure to yield.
