Police said an East Sandwich man is facing his second drunk driving charge after his car was found idling at the intersection of Service and Chase roads on Wednesday,December 30.

While on patrol, police came upon the vehicle in the intersection at 9:02 PM and said that the operator was slumped over the steering wheel. The vehicle was not in park.

The driver was later identified as Patrick H. Senior, 50, of East Sandwich. Police were able to wake Mr. Senior and instructed him to put his car into park.

Officers administered a series of field sobriety tests, which Mr. Senior failed, police said.

He was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor for a second offense, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and failure to stop.
