The truck was driven out of the station by a sanitation worker prior to the arrival of the fire department and was not damaged in the incident, the deputy chief said.

No injuries or property damage were reported.

Deputy Chief McMahon said that the fire did not impact the facility’s operation. The transfer station will open as usual on Wednesday, April 14.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
