A Forestdale woman is facing charges after police say she fell asleep at the wheel while driving drunk on Wednesday, February 5.

Police were called to the intersection of Route 130 and Pimlico Pond Road at 10:15 PM when someone reported seeing a woman asleep behind the wheel of her car. When police arrived, a witness told them that the woman was asleep and her car was still in drive.

Once the woman was woken up by police, she put the car into park. The woman was identified as Jeanna M. Parma, 45, of Forestdale.

While speaking with Ms. Parma, officers began to suspect that she was intoxicated and she was given a series of field sobriety tests, which she failed.

Ms. Parma was placed under arrest and charged with operating under the influence of liquor.
