A loud party over the weekend in Sandwich resulted a 16 people facing charges for underage drinking.

Police were called to a Sherwood Lane home at 8:10 PM when a neighbor reported that a loud party was taking place. When police arrived, they said they saw a large group of teenagers openly drinking alcohol in the yard of the home. As a result, 16 people between the ages of 16 and 20 will be summoned to court on charges of underage possession of liquor.

Those facing charges are a 19-year-old Marstons Mills man, two 17-year-old Forestdale girls, a 16-year-old Forestdale girl, a 19-year-old East Sandwich man, two 16-year-old Sandwich girls, a 17-year-old Sandwich girl, a 17-year-old Sandwich boy, two 18-year-old Sandwich men, a 20-year-old Centerville man, a 19-year-old Centerville man, a 19-year-old Hyannis man, an 18-year-old Hyannis man, and a 20-year-old Sandwich man.

Additionally, Allan Monteiro, 21, of Hyannis was arrested on an outstanding warrant charge from Barnstable District Court on charges of assault and battery and unarmed robbery.
