Police have charged a Sandwich man with operating under the influence of liquor following a traffic stop on Cotuit Road on Monday, October 7.
An officer driving along Cotuit Road at 8:49 PM reported that the car they were driving behind was being operated erratically. The officer stopped the car and identified the driver as Everett M. Morin, 35.
During the stop, the officer said that Mr. Morin’s eyes were bloodshot and glassy and that they could smell alcohol. Mr. Morin was given a series of field sobriety tests, which he failed, police said.
Police said they found a half-empty pint of Tito’s vodka in the center console of the vehicle.
Mr. Morin was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
